The semi-rigid aluminum duct is ideal for applications where code requires an all aluminum product. This duct is totally non-combustible with a maximum operating temperature of 435 deg F. Dundas Jafine is now pleased to offer a new UL listed and marked version of the semi-rigid aluminum duct. This particular duct is UL2158A listed and marked and can be used in applications where the dryer manufacturer calls for a UL version of an all aluminum product. The UL rated duct is thicker than the standard version and new manufacturing technology incorporated into the duct allows for easy rotation and therefore more durable handling of the duct by the contractor.

Silverduct? UL? 2158A clothes dryer transition duct provides flame resistance. It crushes easily behind the dryer and is held together with layers of aluminum foil and polyester plastic. Clothes dryer manufacturers may limit the use of plastics in venting. Check the dryer warranty and installation instructions as well as your local building codes for appropriate use.

Dundas Jafine's semi-rigid dryer to duct connector kit offers a safe and efficient way to connect your dryer transition duct to the back of your dryer. The kit includes a 4 x 8 ft semi-rigid aluminum duct, a plastic connector piece as well as an optional plastic extension piece for those dryers with recessed exhaust ports. The connector and extension piece is made of polypropylene containing fire retardant additive which meets UL94 VO standards for flame resistance. Once attached, it helps the duct from being crushed and improves the air flow from the back of the dryer. The connector piece is also friction fit to the dryer for an easy connection that does not require clamps or duct tape for attachment and can be easily removed for cleaning.
